The flag of the United States is a global symbol of freedom. It carries the reputation of a nation that has always done its best to do right by its neighbors. I was honored to present a resolution to commemorate Flag Day yesterday in the old state house chamber. This week take a moment to appreciate all that our flag represents and remember, these colors don’t run.
Today, the N.C. House held session in the State Capitol Building. Meeting in the old chamber is a memorable experience and a treasured tradition of the N.C. legislature.
One of my proudest moments at the legislature was the passage of expanded cancer coverage for our state’s firefighters.
Always happy to travel up the mountain to support my good friend @raypickettnc
It’s exciting to see the Blue Bell facility renovated & back in use after so many years. The new apartments there are a great addition to downtown Lenoir.
The facility @appstate has acquired in Hickory is impressive. The new campus will bring many new opportunities to our area. It’s an exciting time for the community and the Appalachian family. #rollneers
